Profile / Personal Challenges

If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way:

26/04/12 - Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head
This year's National Trail Challenge - The Ridgeway. Stretching 87miles accross five counties. Starting at Avebury (adding a few miles to the beginning) in Wiltshire and passing through Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Hertfordshire and ending at Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire. Perhaps booking a camping trip during the wettest April in 100 years wasn't the best idea but I am sure enduring gale force winds, torrential rain, hail, thunder and lightening and a whole load of mud is very character building!

11/06/11 - A Hike to Remember
On the 11th June, myself and my faithful doggy companion Escha started a backpacking trip along the Cotswold Way. Running from central Bath to Chipping Camden in an approximately North by North-East direction for 102miles. Taking 7 days we carried all our necessities with us, completing the trek on schedule (despite the dubious weather conditions) and with only minimal blisters. And yes, Escha does have her own rucksack!

17/05/11 - My Way or the Highway
At the grand old age of 31 (practically geriatric by driving school standards) I finally took the plunge and learned to drive. After a few (or more) stalls, much frustration and not to mention a few tears I passed the test first time on May 17th 2011!
